 This course is the second of the PV electric systems studies and will cover the design for an actual residential PV system. Cost estimation techniques will be included to enable the student to prepare specifications for most typical projects. An actual site visit will be conducted. The Hands on program to include solar array shading analyzes with the Solar Pathfinder, orientation review, tilt rendering along with measurement, and actual system efficiency analyzes. Equipment needed to conduct all of the above mentioned items will be available for class participants. This course along with Intro to Solar PV Electric System has been conducted numerous times since January 2009 and revised to meet the expectations of all prior attendees.

This course series is intended for anyone who is considering entering the PV industry. Financial models of residential, commercial, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) will be covered including the program rules of the NJ REIP. The application process for NJ, PA, and NY to become an approved program provider and be eligible to submit incentive and rebate forms will be covered. Contractors, mechanics, homeowners, and solar enthusiasts will all benefit from attending this program of study. Class size will be limited and course work will be appropriated for all level students.
